Mrs. Eighner's 8th grade ELA class earned lunch from Mr. B's today! At the beginning of each quarter, Mrs. Eighner challenges everyone in class to complete a book talk. If the entire class meet the challenge Mrs. Eighner treats them all to lunch. All students completed their book talk and made a presentation to their class about their book. #CornjerkerPride

The final session of Building Your Village for the 2021-2022 school year will be held on March 3rd. During this session, we will focus on self-care.
We will be meeting at the Hoopeston Multi Agency for dinner and dessert provided by the 112. There will be raffles, giveaways, and representatives from local support agencies present. Child care and transportation are available for those attending. Doors open at 6:00 PM and dinner will be served shortly after that. The HAMS 8th Grade Honors ELA class hosted teachers, staff, and school board members for its Poetry Gallery Walk. Students presented their best poetry writing from their recent poetry unit, and guests voted on their top choices for the second winner of the “Lee-sie Award of Literary Excellence.”
