Meet Mrs. Suzi Root: I am beginning my 31st year in Education. I taught 18 years in the classroom (kindergarten, first and second grades) before moving to administration. I am the current principal at Maple School.
What do you like about Maple? I have spent most of my teaching career at Maple. I have been influenced by so many fantastic teachers and administrators. Maple is my second family. This community is truly blessed to have such a caring staff!
Fun Fact: . My husband, Kevin Root, was raised as a Cornjerker. We have raised our 3 children in the Hoopeston School District. We are recent empty nesters. I enjoy riding my bike, vacationing in Hilton Head and spending time with family and friends. I was also on my high school and college dance teams!
