Dear Hoopeston Area CUSD #11 parents:
I write to let you know about an alleged breach of data security about which the Illinois State Board of Education (“ISBE”) provided notice to the School District. I have enclosed, herewith, a letter ISBE provided to the School District letting us know about the breach. The data that was the subject of the alleged breach was stored with ISBE, was exclusively within ISBE’s control, and was not, to our knowledge, part of any report submitted by the School District. The School District does not have information about the source of the breach or what was compromised, if anything, but wanted to make sure our parents were aware. To our knowledge, the School District was not involved with or the source of any breach which may have occurred
