I am a middle school ELA teacher. I also teach high school special education, which includes teaching general science and biology. I began my teaching career in 1993 as a music teacher. I have 2 masters degrees. One in special education and one for Reading Specialist. I love teaching ELA.

I was born and raised in Chicago. I reside in Danville with my son, Noah. My son and I enjoy going to Cubs games in the summer. We are a baseball family. I also enjoy reading, going on walks, and watching movies.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Special Education (learning disability and social/emotional disorder) from Illinois State University.  I earned a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Olivet Nazarene.  I also earned a master's in Psychology-Leadership & Coaching from Walden University.

I live in Paxton, Illinois with my husband Robert and our two youngest children Samantha and Rena.  In my spare time, I like to go to the library with Rena, go on walks and to the park, spend time with my family, and watch my grandsons.  When I have extra time, I like to cross-stitch.
