Hello!  My name is Chelsea Deck.  I am very blessed to be able to teach first grade at Maple!  I am from Fairmount, Illinois, and graduated high school from Jamaica High.  I attended Eastern Illinois University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I currently live in Williamsport, Indiana.

We welcomed our first baby into the world on October 13, 2014.  His name is Declan and he has brought so much joy to our home.  I love to travel.  I have been all over the United States and to Puerto Rico.  I enjoy walking and playing with my dog, Petey.  I am a big crafter and enjoy making things myself.  My favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family making great memories.  I can’t wait to make great memories in the classroom this year.

Hello! My name is Kayleigh Malloy (formerly Kayleigh Burton), and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Hoopeston community again this year!

I attended college at the University of St. Francis where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2012.  I started my teaching career in a Kindergarten classroom in Peoria, Illinois, and began teaching first grade here at Maple in 2014.  I love watching my students grow as learners throughout the year and I take great pride in the progress that they make.  I can’t wait to see what the incoming first graders can do this year!

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me reading, traveling, or spending time with my husband, family, friends, and my dog, Oliver.  I also love finding new ideas to use in the classroom with the kiddos.
