Special Education

Stephanie Pratt

My name is Stephanie Pratt and I originally grew up in a smaller town called Elwood up north toward Chicago. I went to college at EIU and graduated Summa Cum Laude in special education. I have 7.5 years of teaching experience under my belt already and have loved every minute of it! My philosophy is make learning fun and related to real life but also to have fun doing it. I live in Potomac with my husband, 2 young sons, and many critters. My boys keep me pretty busy with sports and crafts and the occasional Mario Kart beat down. However, I also teach GED classes twice a week and am a partner in Showtime Costume Shop.

I am super excited to be working in Hoopeston at Honeywell and proud to be a Cornjerker! It is my belief the best way to be a good teacher and to reach students is to jump right in and get involved in the district and the community. I serve on many committees including Expect More committee, HEA, PTO, and Leadership committee for Honeywell and look forward to getting more involved! Honeywell and the Hoopeston district have welcomed me with open arms and this year is going to be epic. I am honored to be part of such a great district with so many opportunities for students including one to one chromebooks, smart board, RTI systems in place, curriculums, and an array of talented staff that are determined to make a difference in students’ lives. It is my pleasure to work here and my promise to do all I can do to enrich the lives of your students!

Special Education

Mr. Bryan Piggush

I was raised in Milford and graduated from Milford HS. Several years ago, I moved to Knoxville, TN where I attended Johnson University (formally Johnson Bible College) and received my BS in counseling. I than went on to received my Master’s in Special Education at the University of Tennessee…Go Vols! (Sorry, it may take a while for my orange and white blood to turn back into blue and orange.)

I enjoy riding motorcycles, gardening, fishing and spending time with friends and family. There is an awesome beauty to the mountains of East Tennessee but there is also a special beauty in the closeness of a small, friendly town. Thank you Hoopeston for such a nice welcome. My goal at Honeywell is to help every child I come into contact with to become a lifelong learner.

She and her husband, Phil, have five children - Evan, Kelsey, Josephine, and twins Matthew and Emma.  Mrs. Vines enjoys sewing, singing, writing, and playing with the children.

Speech/Language Patholigist

Anne Marie Wilcoxen

My name is Anna Marie Wilcoxen. I have been a Speech/Language Pathologist since 1963. Many things have changed over the years but the one constant is my love of teaching communication to young people. My husband is a retired High School Math Teacher (retired from Watseka H.S.) and we have two grown sons, one of which is also a teacher. We are blessed with 1 grandson. It is my privilege and pleasure to be a staff member of Hoopeston schools. I've taught in the district for 10 years and I love the kids, families and teachers and staff. What a great school district this is!
